Beth has been empowering clients for the past 22 years to discover a greater purpose for their financial wealth and to pursue it with confidence. Her area of expertise is financial planning for life’s transitions especially divorce, retirement, and widowhood. These are complex financial situations and Beth enjoys holding the big picture for her clients while collaborating with their accountants, attorneys, and other members of their team.

Beth has a unique passion for divorce planning and for helping people at that difficult juncture. Her compassion for these clients led her to get a CDFA/Certified Divorce Financial Analyst designation, allowing her to assess their settlement sweet spot by analyzing short-term and long-term projections. Knowledge is power. And the strategic advice Beth offers clients based on her findings helps them feel confident negotiating and signing their agreements.

In her 12th year as a planner and manager, Beth founded Purposeful Wealth Advisors, a division of Keating & Associates. Though she’s based in Chicago, Beth works with clients across the US and around the world. When she’s not working, Beth is busy living the dream she and her husband hatched along with their three cherished children who throw a wrench into the plan every now and then. As they should!

We practice a compassionate brand of financial science. So we built a team around the needs of our clients. Our Unique Ability® — our yin/yang — is the pairing of our technical expertise on the one hand, with our relational capacity on the other. And it’s that combination of both, at equal strength, that our clients need.

When things are at their messiest, that’s where we shine. Whether change caught you by surprise or not, we’ll ask you where do you want to go from here? And we’ll forecast both the short-term and long-term implications of the choices you’re considering so you can make truly informed, financially sound decisions that allow for your goals, your dreams, and even the next change you can’t anticipate. We’ll actually plan for it.

Chris is married and has two adult children and two golden retrievers. She enjoys baking and reading.

I love when people have 3 goals that are all competing and you figure out how to put this puzzle together to solve all of them. And immediately the wheels are turning. And I’ve got this spreadsheet with all these numbers in it, and I’m figuring this thing out. That’s really fun.

Geoffrey Dunmore

Wealth Advisor
Certified Financial Planner®Certified Private Wealth Advisor®

Education

BBA in Finance, University of Iowa

Geof has over 17 years of experience in the financial services industry. He strives to deliver a high-touch experience and has a passion for deeply understanding each client’s set of circumstances. While he appreciates the technical challenges of his role, the real joy comes from the relationships that develop with clients. Like the rest of the team, Geof gets great satisfaction from developing personalized solutions that help clients achieve their financial goals.

It’s a truly unique relationship we have with our clients that’s built over a long period of time. You get to know people in a deeply personal way when you are discussing their finances, family, goals, and health. That is one of the aspects I appreciate most about my work. Financial plans evolve and that allows us an opportunity to regularly interact with clients about really important things.

Morgan Ziegler

Certified Financial Planner®CDFA®

Education

BA Personal Finance Planning & Finance, Kansas State University

While double majoring in Finance and Personal Financial Planning at Kansas State University, Morgan interned with the team, was drawn to Purposeful Wealth Advisor’s values, and joined the firm 5 years ago after graduating. She finds great satisfaction empowering clients to live intentionally, particularly those in the process of divorce. Her Certified Divorce Financial Analyst designation shows her commitment of providing financial clarity to people going through divorce and strategically guiding clients in planning for their future.

I enjoy all the strategizing that goes into finance and planning truly plays to my strengths. I love being able to do this while also empowering others, which is my real passion. It helps that I’ve always loved math and spreadsheets. For Christmas, I actually got Beth and Chris mugs that say “Oh, this calls for a spreadsheet!” We all enjoy a good spreadsheet.

Lisa Santos

Associate

Education

BBA University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee
Lisa’s journey to the financial services industry is anything but ordinary, giving her a unique perspective. With over 35 years of experience in various industries, she’s worn many hats—from leading roles as a CPA in life and commercial insurance to owning and running her own café and artisanal grocery store. Lisa’s career is all about versatility and smart financial decision-making.

Lisa has a passion for helping her clients build a legacy of giving back; she has found that this is especially of interest to individuals without children. She believes that without the traditional goal of passing on an inheritance, there is a wonderful opportunity to design a personal legacy by exploring their passions, contemplating a desired legacy, and engaging in an active role of giving back, no matter how big or small.

Throughout my career, I have had a wide range of opportunities, each enhancing and broadening my experiences. My goal is to assist my clients in establishing a strong financial foundation, so they can make the most of every opportunity and flourish in their own endeavors.

Diana Vazquez

Client Services Manager

Education

BA in Business Administration from Emporia State University

One of four children born to parents who immigrated from Mexico, Diana learned from their hard-working example that she, too, could achieve her potential by envisioning what she wanted in life, believing in it, and never letting obstacles derail her. One thing Diana wanted in life was to start building her career as soon as possible. And so shortly after graduating high school, she got her associate’s degree, and two years later, her bachelor’s degree. She brings the same passion, determination and work ethic to PWA where she feels she has found a perfect fit among other professionals who aim high, always innovating new ways to help their clients achieve their dreams.

Like everyone here, I have a special place in my heart for people in transition – people getting onto a new path toward a successful future and a successful life. It doesn’t matter where you start, it’s where you’re going that matters!
